The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) enhances privacy rights and consumer protection for individuals who reside in California. SecurityNews has adopted this statement to comply with the CCPA which applies solely to “consumers” as defined by the CCPA.

You are entitled to make two (2) information requests within a twelve (12) month period. If you make an information request, we will need to collect certain information from you in order to verify your identity. You will receive a response to your request within thirty (30) days.
In the past twelve (12) months, we may have collected personal identifiers, including your name, contact details such as phone number(s), email address, mailing address, job title, and any additional information required to validate your identity. We may also have collected credit card or bank account information for billing purposes, along with commercial information like records of products or services purchased and other purchasing histories or tendencies.
Additionally, we gather activity information related to internet or electronic networks, including browsing history and interactions with websites, ads, or apps (typically via your Internet Protocol address). Furthermore, we may collect information related to your employment or professional standing and education, as well as information inferred from the above data regarding your preferences and interests.
We do not knowingly collect any information from individuals under the age of 18.
Our websites and mobile applications link to other websites that are not operated or controlled by SecurityNews. We do not monitor or control, and are therefore not responsible for, the privacy practices or the content of linked external websites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies for any linked websites you visit.

Only you, or an individual registered with the California Secretary of State whom you authorize to act on your behalf, may submit a verifiable request concerning your personal information. For all requests, you are required to provide your full legal name, home address, cell phone number, email address, the specific consumer right you are inquiring about, and the details of your request. You may also be asked to provide additional proof of identity.

Decisions made by SecurityNews pursuant to any above request may be appealed to SecurityNews’s Privacy Officer by submitting a request to review the decision by mail at SecurityNews, Attention Privacy, 2385 NW Executive Center Drive, Suite 100, Boca Raton, FL 33431 or by electronic mail at privacy@securitynews.com. Within forty-five (45) days of your submission, we will inform you in writing of the appeal decision with an explanation of the reason for the decision.
